Journey

"In the depth of tragedy, the magnitude of love is not lost."

In returning to the orphanage I was adopted from, I had a heavy heart. Why was I lucky enough to be able to leave with a family that loved me when ALL these children are deserving and in need of love and care. I choose the quote "In the depth of tragedy, the magnitude of love is not lost." because there was so much love in that orphanage. They don't have enough resources and they aren't always fully staffed but the people who volunteer their time do  the best they can and care so much. I hope in this image that the audience would be able to see the depth of the situation, the independence in the children and the joy that can be found in friendship.

- Thanks to the beautiful people working at Hogar Solomon Klein Orphanage & Emma Rojas Ayala "Mama Emma" for looking out for me, my brother and the many other young children who come through your doors.
